tur/r7rs/time
(scheme time): the wall clock and a monotonic jiffy counter.
An on-demand R7RS library: (import (scheme time)) in a #lang r7rs file splices this file in (scheme_lower.c SCHEME_LIBS), and a program that does not import it carries none of it. Written, like the prelude, in Turmeric shapes; the primitives are inline C with interpreter twins in src/turi/interpreter_natives.c, because the typed stdlib's time module has second-resolution wall time only and no monotonic counter.
Since: r7rs-lang-plan R7
r7rs-current-second
(r7rs-current-second :float)
seconds since the POSIX epoch, inexact, with the clock's sub-second part. R7RS asks for TAI; POSIX time is what every implementation on this platform returns.
r7rs-current-jiffy
(r7rs-current-jiffy :int)
a monotonic count of microseconds, exact.
r7rs-jiffies-per-second
(r7rs-jiffies-per-second :int)
the jiffy is a microsecond.
